Usuki Lunch
To commemorate our designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, we served a lunch featuring Usuki's local cuisine!
Through the menu, you can find Kirasumameshi (fish sprinkled with mustard curd), Ohan (rice dyed yellow with flowering berries), Kayaku (stew of vegetables and fish *we use tiger blowfish), etc. Introducing Usuki's local cuisine. Kabosu Tori Tentsuki!
Tiger blowfish chazuke lunch set
I had Bungo Channel's tiger pufferfish for lunch in chazuke. This is a satisfying lunch meal that includes original kabosu chicken tempura, mini salad made with real vegetables grown in Usuki City, chawanmushi made with blowfish soup stock, and mini sweets.
Usuki?Bosutori tempura set meal
In Oita Prefecture, chicken tempura is famous as a local dish, and at our restaurant, we knead plenty of kabosu from Usuki City into the batter to create a refreshing, original kabosu chicken tempura. It was so popular with our customers that we added it to our menu starting in December. With the combination of the refreshing scent of kabosu and juicy chicken tempura, you can eat as many as you like♪
Colorful umbrellas are installed on the terrace seats!
Usuki City has a strong historical connection with Portugal. Considering the historical background of Usuki, we would like to introduce Portuguese culture, so we imitated Portugal's "Agueda Festival" (a festival where umbrellas are hung all over the city) and set up colorful umbrellas on the terrace seats at Bungo Kando Honpo. ! It is very popular as an Instagrammable photo spot.
A calm Japanese-style seat overlooking the Japanese garden
There is a Japanese-style seat at the back of the store that feels like a hideaway. The very popular counter seats (2 seats x 2) are designed so that you can enjoy the four seasons while looking out at the small Japanese garden. Table seats (4 seats x 2 seats) are also available.
